On Saturday, April 11th I will be presenting the first annual Hoop Hop basketball game promoting Health and Wellness at the Rose Garden starting at 1pm until 4pm, and it’s FREE for ALL AGES! This game will consist of some of Portland most notable Hip Hop artists competing and entertaining in a 5 on 5 player game to promote exercise and wellness.

Elusive Printing

It wasn’t difficult for Hussein Al-Baiaty to find his passion for art, at an early age he was surrounded by the visual poetry that is painting, drawing, and sculpting, artistically expressed by his father.  He always knew he had an exceptional talent as an artist, but it wasn’t until he began the Architectural Program at Portland State University that he would really begin to mold his craft.  In 2005, Hussein decided he wanted to make a living using his skills in design and bought his own Printing Press, he than started printing fliers and T-Shirts for those in demand while still attending college.  Often using the campus facilities for his developing business, he found himself screen-printing until 3am at times, progressing to finishing homework due in class that started that same morning.  But this dedicated entrepreneur’s work ethic and insomnia would soon pay off….
